An event was held on 1st June 2017 to commemorate the launch of the first iHop Restaurant in Gurugram out of the 20 planned ones in India by DineEquity Inc. under franchisee Kwal’s Catering Private Ltd.
A press conference along with the first preview was held to acquaint selected bloggers and media with the IHOP culture.
The menu for the upcoming Indian restaurants has been modified to suit the preferences of the Indian population. Gary Moore, the Vice President of DineEquity Inc., explained how half of the menu would be vegetarian with the pancakes being eggless and the beef being replaced with lamb and chicken.
Along with this, other sweet and savoury lunch and dinner options would also be available. The kid’s menu would have an additional “Create a Pancake” option to help them unleash their creative side.
This was followed by sampling of a few sweet and savoury items like Italian Pasta, Lamb chunks Omelette , Chocolate Choco-chip Pancakes , Double Blueberry Pancakes and Strawberry Banana Chocolate Hazelnut spread Waffles.
The pancakes were fluffy and the waffle served hot was delectable having just the right level of sweetness to it.
