Laat Saab is a casual dining restaurant serving North Indian and Mughlai cuisine . It is located on the first floor of Galleria Mall , next to Great India Place with the nearest metro station being Sector-18 on the blue line.
The place is full of vibrant colours and wall art with railway stations been painted. It also has a swing at the entrance and rickshaws aligned right outside giving a desi feel to the restaurant.
Coming to the food, we ordered Ananas Panna and Mango shake with dryfruits along with the starters which included Peshawari Chicken Tikka, Grilled Fish Amritsari and Kurkure Mushroom.
The Panna was something different and tasted good while the Mango shake was adequately sweet and creamy.
The Peshawari Chicken Tikka was spicy but well marinated as was the fish.
The Kurkure Mushroom consisted of mushrooms stuffed with cheese and bell peppers.
We also tried Safed Gulab Sherbet and Elaichi Sherbet.
They had a nice rose and cardamom flavour respectively which was due to the prepared syrup that had been added.
In the mains, we went for Pepper Chicken Chettinadu and Peshawari Tawa Paneer along with Dal Makhani as recommended by the Chef . Chur Chur Naan along with Corn, Cheese and Broccoli stuffed Naan were the accompanying breads. The Tawa Paneer, Dal Makhani and Naan were yummy.
The meal ended with the desserts Malai Kulfi and Shikora Phirni.
The good thing was the level of sweetness which was kept to a minimum and so the desserts had lesser calories. The Malai Kulfi served with Faluda was creamy and the Phirni was also tasty.
All in all, it’s a decent place for a North Indian and Mughlai meal.
