Cinépolis, India’s first international and World’s fourth largest movie theatre organized a food pairing event and a Cook-off challenge on 6th September 2017 at Coffee Tree, Cinépolis located in Grand Venice Mall, Greater Noida.
The event had celebrity Chef Nishant Choubey making the most popular dishes from the Coffee Tree menu live, followed by a ‘cook-off challenge’ amongst the audience members.
Coffee Tree is the in-house gourmet café situated in the premises of Cinépolis. It serves as a full-fledged coffee shop present inside the cinema which caters to both the patrons coming into the cinema to watch movies as well as people coming to grab a quick bite. The food options range from, Pastas and Pizzas to the more exotic, baguis and crepes from Mexico. Apart from the usual coke beverages, it also serves coolers and shakes.
Celebrity Chef Nishant Choubey made Chili cheese toast, Pasta, Chicken tikka sandwich and Double Decker sandwich and emphasised on using fresh ingredients. He further paired each of the food items with drinks like Oreo Frappe, Mint Mojito, Iced Tea and Masala Lemonade.This was followed by food tasting where the bloggers and media relished the preparations.
The Cook-off challenge saw six teams competing with each other to showcase their culinary prowess. They were asked to make pasta and mojito at their respective stations, with all the ingredients being provided by Cinépolis . All the dishes were judged by Chef Nishant and a winner was announced.
